About Pedro L. Guevara

Pedro L. Guevara is a scenic designer originally from San Antonio, TX. 

Pedro is a graduate of the MFA scenic design program at the University of Connecticut, where he studied under Tim Brown. He graduated from Texas State University in 2015 with a BFA in Theatre Design & Technology where he focused on scenic design.  

While at the University of Connecticut, Pedro had the opportunity to design classics like King Lear, The Importance of Being Earnest, and The Crucible. He has also worked on numerous shows as an assistant scenic designer and scenic artist for Connecticut Repertory Theatre and the Nutmeg Summer Series.

Pedro has also worked professionally at Hartford Stage as a scenic artist, The Redhouse Arts Center as an associate Scenic Designer, and for Peter Barbieri as an assistant Scenic Designer. He continues to pursue his passion for scenic design and scenic painting in NYC.

Pedro is currently the assistant scenic charge at The Juilliard School.
